Lauren Gallow is a writer, editor, and artist living in seattle, washington.
Hello! I'm Lauren and I am a Seattle-based writer. I am especially passionate about projects related to art, architecture, and design, and I love telling stories about creative people and their work. My writing in Seattle Met Magazine and Ledger Magazine showcased local creatives in Seattle and merged journalistic profiling with arts criticism. My academic writing and arts criticism has focused on artists and designers who push the boundaries between the disciplines of art, architecture, visual culture, and design, and my Master's thesis examined this synthesis in the contemporary shelter magazine Dwell. My creative non-fiction writing for Desert Jewels and the Henry Art Gallery Blog has treated intensely personal topics but usually involves a collaborative aspect, as does my immersive art practice which I present through Desert Jewels with my creative collaborator, Josephine Edmondson.
I currently work as a writer for Olson Kundig, a design and architecture firm in Seattle.
